New Yorker’s Must STOP ZORHAN “THE MAD SOCIALIST” MAMDANI!

Pretty clever how they used Mamdani’s name for the bill—like political graffiti: “I did this!” No one’s gonna forget who’s behind it.
Now about the bill itself… government-owned grocery stores? That’s not just left-field—that’s straight outta Socialist Stadium. The idea is: if big chains ditch poor neighborhoods, the government should run its own stores—like a public library, but with bananas and bread.
Mamdani and crew think food is a human right, and if capitalism won’t play ball, then Uncle Sam should strap on an apron. The goal? Take what sounds radical now and make it sound normal later. That’s how political ideas shift—what they call “moving the Overton window,” meaning changing what people see as normal or acceptable.
To the rest of us? It’s more government, more spending, and one step closer to aisle clerks with union pensions and taxpayer-funded kale.
