Summerlin Motorists Brace for Weekend 215 Beltway Closure for Bridge Project

Motorists in Summerlin should prepare for a full closure of the 215 Beltway later this week due to ongoing work on the Peace Way bridge project. The closure will occur between Flamingo Road and Tropicana Avenue, starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, with reopening scheduled sometime on Saturday, not exceeding a 24-hour duration.

This closure is essential for the safe continuation of construction work on the Peace Way bridge over the 215. Lane reductions will affect southbound traffic starting from Town Center Drive and northbound traffic beginning at Sunset Road.

Clark County advises drivers to anticipate delays near the closure and recommends finding alternate routes. The project, valued at $19.8 million, includes the construction of the bridge connecting Fort Apache Road and Chessie Court, as well as roadway rehabilitation on Peace Way between Hualapai Way and Cimarron Road. Additionally, a new traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of Hualapai and Peace ways.

The Peace Way project commenced in June 2024 and is slated for completion by this summer.
