Stevie Wonder to Headline Silver & Black Gala for Mental Health Initiatives

Mark Davis has cultivated a reputation for hosting memorable events, blending entertainment with philanthropy. Following the success of previous gatherings, such as the VIP party featuring Diana Ross and Lady Gaga, Davis is now gearing up for the second annual Silver & Black Gala at Allegiant Stadium on May 17. This year, the event will be headlined by the legendary Stevie Wonder, promising an unforgettable evening for the select guests.

The gala, which is invitation-only and free for attendees, aims to raise funds for The Raiders Foundation’s mental-health initiatives. In keeping with the spirit of giving, the event will feature a variety of fundraising activities, including silent and live auctions, as well as a digital method for donations via QR codes.

Dinner will be served on the Raiders’ field, with Wonder performing from the end zone, creating a unique atmosphere for the approximately 1,000 attendees. Davis emphasizes that the focus is on enjoyment and philanthropy without pressure, aiming to create a relaxed environment for guests.

Davis’s involvement in the philanthropic scene in Las Vegas has grown over the years. Notably, he recently donated over $100,000 at the Nevada Ballet Theatre’s Black & White Gala and has supported other cultural events. His commitment to mental health initiatives is evident in the continuous support through the gala.

The event’s success last year, held at the Cristal Ballroom at the Wynn, featured performances by renowned artists like David Foster and Katharine McPhee. With a vision of making this an annual Las Vegas highlight, Davis has secured Allegiant Stadium to accommodate the growing interest and to set the stage for a potentially signature Raider celebration in the city.

As the gala approaches, additional honorees and entertainers will be announced, further building anticipation for an evening dedicated to both entertainment and a worthy cause.
