SEVENTEEN’s fifth studio album tracklist has been released, promising surprises that will excite fans.
Unveiled on Tuesday, May 13, via a video on the band’s social media accounts, “Happy Burstday” will include 16 tracks, 13 of which are solo songs—one for each member. Shown in the video as stickers inside a silver phone booth, THE 8’s solo track is titled “Skyfall,” JOSHUA’s is “Fortunate Change,” WONWOO’s is “99.9%,” SEUNGKWAN’s is “Raindrops,” HOSHI’s is “Damage,” MINGYU’s is “Shake It Off,” DK’s is “Happy Virus,” Vernon’s is “Shining Star,” DINO’s is “Trigger,” and S.COUPS’ is “Jungle.”
The remaining three solo tracks are in Korean. According to Google Translate, WOOZI’s translates to “Fate,” JUN’s to “Gemini,” and JEONGHAN’s to “Chance.”
Besides these solo tracks, “Happy Burstday” will also feature three full-group songs. Listed as the first three tracks, they are “HBD,” “Thunder,” and “Bad Influence.”
Additionally, the album includes collaborations with notable music industry figures. Pharrell Williams produced “Bad Influence,” and HOSHI collaborated with Timbaland on the solo track “Damage.”
The tracklist announcement follows SEVENTEEN’s earlier news that “Happy Burstday” will be released on May 26, succeeding their 2022 album “Face the Sun,” which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Over the past three years, the group has also released three mini albums: “FML,” “Seventeenth Heaven,” and “Spill the Feels,” which charted at Nos. 2, 2, and 5, respectively.
The album’s release coincides with SEVENTEEN’s 10th anniversary, which they plan to celebrate with a performance on Jamsugyo Bridge in Seoul the day before the album launch.
