Ace Frehley’s Grave Marker Revealed in Photos, Video

Photos and videos have revealed the grave marker of Ace Frehley, the longtime Kiss guitarist, who died in October at age 74 after a fall at his home studio.

Frehley was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery in the Bronx, New York, his hometown. According to his family, Frehley suffered multiple skull fractures and a brain bleed after falling at his home studio on Sept. 25. He was placed on a ventilator but did not show improvement, and on Oct. 16, his family removed him from life support.

An autopsy determined the cause of death was accidental blunt force trauma.

A memorial service was held Oct. 21 in Yonkers, New York. Kiss founding members Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley and Peter Criss attended. Frehley was buried the following day.

“We are devastated by the passing of Ace Frehley,” Kiss said in a joint statement after his death. “He was an essential and irreplaceable rock soldier during some of the most formative, foundational chapters of the band and its history. He is and will always be a part of Kiss’s legacy. Our thoughts are with Jeanette, Monique and all those who loved him, including our fans around the world.”

Kiss opened their first show in two years earlier this month with a candlelight moment of silence in Frehley’s honor.
