Between Sleep and Scripture: Part III

The Revelation Lingers: Changing the Company I Keep

Dreams can stir imagination, but discernment reveals truth. What I first interpreted as mistreatment was, in fact, a warning — a gentle but urgent nudge that something was about to unfold. My imagination painted scenarios of rejection, but revelation whispered a deeper reality: it is time to change the company I keep.

Discernment is not suspicion; it is clarity. It is the ability to separate fear from fact, imagination from revelation. In this dream, I was not being shown how others might mistreat me — I was being shown how I must protect my spirit by shifting my circle. The dream was not about pain, but about preparation.

There comes a moment when loyalty must bow to legacy. When holding on to familiar company becomes a barrier to destiny. My dream reminded me that discernment is not about judging others harshly, but about honoring the call on my life. To walk in revelation means to admit when it is time to release, to step away, and to surround myself with those who align with restoration, not resistance.

So today, I choose to listen. I choose to honor the dream as scripture in disguise, a revelation that lingers. And I declare: changing the company I keep is not loss, but liberation. It is the sacred act of making room for the people, the purpose, and the promise that God has prepared.

I Dream in Color:

My grandmother PJ used to say, “Bad company depreciates your property value.” At the time, I thought she was speaking only of houses and land. But now, in the light of my dream, I hear her words differently. She was speaking of spirit, of destiny, of the sacred value within me.

Thank You God, for Generational Discernment
