Rapper Finesse2Tymes Faces Legal Battles: Federal Custody and Lawsuit Challenges

Finesse2Tymes is currently in federal custody following allegations of multiple violations of his supervised release terms. As reported by TMZ, the rapper turned himself in to authorities on May 2. The accusations include failing drug tests in 2022 and 2024, with both allegedly testing positive for marijuana, and an arrest for making terroristic threats earlier this year.

The threat charge relates to an incident involving his former artist King. King’s guardian claimed that Finesse threatened to use a gun during a dispute over the artist.

Finesse has been on supervised release since July 2022 after serving nearly four years of a five-year sentence for gun possession as a former felon. His next court hearing is set for May 8.

In a separate matter, Finesse2Tymes is facing a lawsuit from a man who claims he was the rapper’s driver during a violent incident at a nightclub in Decatur, Georgia, in June 2023. The lawsuit, initially filed against the now-closed venue’s owners, was amended in January to include Finesse2Tymes.

The complaint, noted by TMZ, accuses the rapper of insufficient crowd control efforts and faults the venue for proceeding with the event despite being aware of potential criminal activity risks and the expected large crowd.

During an afterparty for Birthday Bash Weekend, where Finesse was performing, gunfire reportedly erupted inside the club following a dispute. Initial reports indicated that five people were shot. The plaintiff, Ernest Flores, claims he was shot in the head and has provided photos of his injuries in the lawsuit.
