The Raiders Foundation successfully held its second annual Silver & Black Gala at Allegiant Stadium on May 17, raising $3 million to support youth mental health initiatives in Nevada. The event, presented by Intermountain Health, attracted nearly 1,000 attendees, including business leaders, public officials, and members of the Raiders organization, such as alumni, current players, and front office staff.
During the evening, Raiders Owner Mark Davis delivered a speech and lit the Al Davis Memorial Torch in honor of Elaine Wynn. The Foundation made a surprise $1 million donation to four Nevada-based organizations focused on youth mental health: Boys Town Nevada, Community Counseling Center of Southern Nevada, Solutions for Change, and Campus for Hope.
Sandra Douglass Morgan, President of the Las Vegas Raiders, emphasized the importance of mental health for youth and the organization’s commitment to removing stigma and expanding access to resources. Kari Uyehara, Executive Director of the Raiders Foundation, highlighted the community’s support and the impact of the funds raised.
Each nonprofit recipient expressed gratitude for the investment, noting the significant impact it would have on their programs. The evening also included awards, a charity auction, and a performance by Stevie Wonder. Notable auction items included a Ford Shelby F-250 and a private dinner with Mark Davis, Tom Brady, and Charles Woodson.
The event underscored the Raiders Foundation’s dedication to supporting mental health services and the broader community in Nevada.
