Vegas Loop Launches Limited Airport Service Connecting Harry Reid International with Major Vegas Destinations

The Boring Company has officially launched limited Vegas Loop service to Harry Reid International Airport, marking a significant milestone for the expanding underground transit system in Las Vegas. After receiving approval for its Automated Vehicle Identification permit from the Clark County Department of Aviation, Boring Co. began offering airport drop-offs directed to the departures curb. According to airport spokeswoman Monika Bertaki, airport pick-ups will soon begin once transponders are installed in each vehicle, with designated pick-up areas located on the Zero Level at both Terminals 1 and 3, currently used by limousines and shuttles.

Rides between the airport and existing Vegas Loop stations, such as Resorts World Las Vegas and Westgate, are priced at $12 each way, covering both underground and above-ground portions of the trip. A ride between Westgate and Resorts World is listed at $4.25. Service operates from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., launching just in time for this year’s CES, which is expected to draw 140,000 attendees.

Currently, the Vegas Loop has over 10 miles of tunnels constructed, with about 4 miles operational and stations at Encore, Resorts World, Westgate, and multiple stops at the Las Vegas Convention Center. All are within 4 miles of Reid Airport, and passengers travel in Tesla vehicles via a point-to-point system. Each airport ride is limited to 4 miles or less of above-ground travel and must include a segment within the loop tunnels.

Boring Co. is also developing additional sites near the airport, including at 4744 Paradise Road and 5032 Palo Verde Road, as part of the under-construction University Center Loop. Once completed, this expansion will add stops at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, a planned Boring Co.-owned apartment complex, and locations near Sphere.

The introduction of airport service follows recent milestones, such as the implementation of self-driving rides in the tunnels. At full build-out, the Vegas Loop is planned to feature 68 miles of tunnels and 104 stations across major Las Vegas destinations, including the Strip, downtown, Chinatown, and Allegiant Stadium.
