Las Vegas transformed into the Upside Down on Dec. 28, as Netflix illuminated the night sky with a spectacular drone show celebrating the “Stranger Things” series finale. The event, visible across the city and captured by 8 News Now cameras, brought iconic moments from the hit show to life above the Las Vegas Strip.
Hundreds of drones created stunning formations, including the WSQK van, the Hellfire Club logo, the fearsome demogorgon, Vecna, and the beloved kids riding their bikes. The drone show also featured the “Stranger Things” logo and a dazzling red number 5 atop Resorts World, marking the arrival of the series’ fifth and final season.
The Las Vegas drone spectacular concluded a worldwide celebration of “Stranger Things,” with previous immersive events held in Madrid and Sydney. As the show ended, the drones revealed a final message: fans can expect the series finale trailer to drop on Dec. 30.
