Oakland Athletics Owner John Fisher Buys Luxurious Las Vegas Home in Record Deal

John Fisher, the owner of the Oakland Athletics, made headlines with a significant real estate purchase in Las Vegas. Fisher acquired a $29.25 million, 10,094 square-foot home in The Summit Club, Summerlin, a high-end, guard-gated community. This purchase ranks as the third-highest home sale in Las Vegas history, following Celine Dion’s $30 million sale and a $35 million transaction from the previous year, both within the same community.

The home, completed in 2021, was designed by Greg Faulkner and includes seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a den, a movie theater, a loft, and a wellness room. Additionally, it offers 2,000 square feet of outdoor living space and a three-car garage equipped with an electric vehicle charger. The property features panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip, a private golf course, and nearby mountains.

The Summit Club, developed by Discovery Land Co., offers an exclusive lifestyle with a membership fee of $400,000 and an annual fee of $120,000, granting access to a championship golf course, country club, and various amenities. The community is known for its high-profile residents, including other local sports team owners, and is characterized by stringent security measures.

This purchase aligns with the Athletics’ increasing involvement in Las Vegas, highlighted by recent real estate investments from other key figures within the organization. The team is currently developing a new stadium on the Las Vegas Strip, slated to open in 2028, signaling a long-term commitment to the city.
