A life in plastic and pink glides onto the roller rink as the Malibu Barbie Cafe arrives at Area15, just off the Las Vegas Strip. Launching December 18, this immersive pop-up is brought to life by Mattel and Bucket Listers, following successful runs in cities across the U.S. and Melbourne, Australia. The Vegas edition promises an open-ended stay, channeling the “groovy beachside energy of 1970s Malibu” with a retro roller rink backdrop.
Chef Becky Brown, “Chopped Champion” and “Master Chef” finalist, curates a menu inspired by the San Diego cafe, featuring crowd-pleasers like fruit skewers, spinach artichoke dip, buttermilk pancakes, a cheese-layered grilled cheese, a smash burger with grilled onions, design-your-own cupcakes, and build-your-own sundaes.
Beyond dining, the cafe offers Barbie-themed merchandise, interactive activities, and special events including cupcake decorating classes, paint parties, and adults-only skate nights. Each roller skate rental benefits Girls Inc., supporting programs and mentorship for girls.
Tickets are $25, credited toward food, drinks, or merchandise. Join the waitlist at bucketlisters.com, or find more details at malibubarbiecafe.com and @barbieofficial on social media.
