M Resort Unveils $206 Million Expansion Nearly Doubling Rooms and Event Space

M Resort Nearly Doubles Capacity with $206 Million Expansion

The M Resort in Henderson, Nevada, celebrated the grand opening of its $206 million expansion Wednesday night, nearly doubling its capacity to 765 rooms. The milestone was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by executives from Pennsylvania-based Penn Entertainment Inc., including President and CEO Jay Snowden, M Resort Vice President and General Manager Hussain Mahrous, and Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero.

The expansion features a new 375-room tower completed ahead of schedule, positioning M Resort to better accommodate major Las Vegas events such as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, New Year’s Eve, and the CES trade show. A key priority for parent company Penn Entertainment is the increased ability to offer Las Vegas experiences to members of its Penn Play loyalty program. Penn operates a diverse portfolio of casinos, racetracks, and online gaming across 28 jurisdictions in North America.

The development also includes the 15,000-square-foot Montese Ballroom, which opened in October. This addition brings the property’s total indoor and outdoor event space to over 100,000 square feet. The expansion is expected to add 120 new jobs to the M Resort workforce.

During the ceremony, Snowden recognized 110 employees who have been with the company since the resort’s opening more than 15 years ago. He also highlighted the M Resort’s status as the “Official Team Headquarters Hotel of the Las Vegas Raiders” and its association with the Vegas Golden Knights.

The evening included a fireworks display, a musical performance by Jefferson Starship, and a screening of the holiday film “Elf.”

This project marks the second of four major developments currently underway by Penn Entertainment nationwide. Other upcoming projects include the new Hollywood Casino Aurora and a hotel tower at Hollywood Casino Columbus, both set to open in late Q2 2026, as well as the future relocation of Hollywood Casino Council Bluffs.

Penn recently received $150 million in funding from Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. to support the ongoing expansion efforts.
