Lisa Vanderpump is expanding her Las Vegas empire with the announcement of the Vanderpump Hotel, set to replace the Cromwell next year at the prominent corner of the Strip and Flamingo Road. Known for her distinctive venues like Vanderpump Cocktail Garden at Caesars Palace, Vanderpump à Paris at Paris Las Vegas, and Pinky’s by Vanderpump at the Flamingo, Vanderpump aims to bring “attainable luxury” to her first hotel project in the city. She emphasizes affordability and accessibility, saying, “I’m not going to price myself out of the market.”
Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Vanderpump is being recognized for her community leadership. This week, she will receive the Equality Visibility Award at the Silver State Equality Awards, hosted by Nevada’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization at Kaos at the Palms. The event also honors Jan Jones Blackhurst, former Las Vegas mayor and chair of the Vegas Strong Fund, with the Equality Leadership Award. “RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Coco Montrese will host and perform.
Vanderpump has long been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, crediting her upbringing and her creative family for fostering values of inclusivity. She actively advocates for same-sex marriage rights and encourages others to be allies. As she prepares her acceptance speech, she reflects, “Who somebody sleeps with is actually the least important part of who they are. It’s about every other aspect of their life that’s not about that.”
The forthcoming Vanderpump Hotel will reflect her signature style, focusing on personalized design and the vibrant, playful energy evident in her other Strip venues. She promises the “Vanderpump touch,” particularly in the hotel’s main bar, and a commitment to quality without prohibitive pricing. “It’s going to be where people can have a lovely weekend on the Strip, and it will be fun. Why wouldn’t it be?”
