A popular Las Vegas gentlemen’s club, Crazy Horse 3, is offering a unique form of relief to unpaid or furloughed federal employees affected by the government shutdown. On Wednesday, Oct. 15, the club will launch “Strippers Against Shutdowns,” which includes complimentary admission and one free lap dance to eligible federal workers between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.
To redeem the offer, guests must present valid government-issued identification or proof of employment and must be at least 21 years old. The club’s operations manager, Louis Aceves, acknowledged that the gesture won’t resolve the larger issues federal employees face, but hopes it provides a brief distraction and some levity during challenging times.
Owner Nando Sostilio emphasized that Las Vegas is about supporting hardworking people, and this promotion is a “uniquely Vegas way” to show appreciation for federal employees whose paychecks have been paused due to the political stalemate. The ongoing shutdown has now entered its third week after the Senate rejected a bill to reopen the government for the eighth time.
Las Vegas strip clubs have a history of supporting the community in unconventional ways. In 2021, Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club hosted a free vaccination clinic with complimentary dances and bottles, and in 2022, it offered free rides, drinks, and dances to travelers stranded in the city.
Aceves added that the shutdown’s impact extends beyond government workers to service industry employees, highlighting the interconnectedness of the local economy and the desire to give back to the community. The club hopes the promotion will bring some lighthearted relief and keep the spirit of Vegas alive during difficult times.
