Las Vegas Motor Speedway to Host Key NASCAR Cup Series Races in 2026 But Not Truck Series

Las Vegas Motor Speedway will continue to be a significant venue for NASCAR events in 2026, hosting two NASCAR Cup Series races scheduled for March 15 and October 4. The October race is particularly noteworthy as it will be part of the Round of 12 in the NASCAR playoffs. Additionally, the track will host two NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series races on March 14 and October 3.

However, Las Vegas will no longer feature on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series schedule. The Truck Series had been a regular fixture at the track, with races held every spring since 2018 and two events annually from 2018 to 2021. The track has been a staple for the series, missing only one year since 1996.

Patrick Lindsey, senior vice president and general manager of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, expressed enthusiasm for continuing to host the Cup Series, highlighting the city’s unique blend of racing and entertainment.

In addition to the changes in Las Vegas, NASCAR will return to Chicagoland during the July 4 weekend. Details regarding start times, weekend schedules, and broadcast information for the races will be announced at a later date.
