Formula One’s Las Vegas Grand Prix will continue at least until 2027, following the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s (LVCVA) approval of a significant race sponsorship deal. The LVCVA Board has committed $20 million over two years, with $10 million allocated annually for the 2026 and 2027 races. This decision aligns with the announcement of the 2026 F1 schedule, which places the Las Vegas race on November 19-21, 2026.
The existing agreement between the LVCVA and Formula One concludes after the upcoming race weekend from November 20-22. Both parties have consistently expressed intentions for the Las Vegas Grand Prix to be a staple event occurring the weekend before Thanksgiving. Liberty Media, F1’s parent company, has heavily invested in the Las Vegas event, spending $500 million to purchase land and construct key facilities such as a three-story pit building and the Grand Prix Plaza.
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix attracted a substantial audience, with a reported three-day attendance of 306,000 people and 175,000 unique visitors to the city. This influx contributed an estimated $934 million to the local economy, as per analysis by the financial consulting firm Applied Analysis based in Las Vegas.
