Las Vegas Casinos Launch Summer Promotions with Discounts and Perks

Las Vegas casinos are offering significant promotions this summer, including free parking, lower hotel rates, and waived resort fees for locals. These incentives are part of typical summer strategies to attract visitors during a slower season due to extreme heat and fewer conventions. However, they’re also seen as a response to criticism about high prices and additional fees. Experts suggest that the deals might be a mix of standard summer offerings and a strategic adjustment to attract more travelers amid economic challenges like inflation and high fuel costs.

Casinos are targeting value-conscious visitors, especially from nearby areas like Southern California and Arizona, by enhancing loyalty perks, offering discounted attractions, and hosting events like massive slot tournaments. Major operators like MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment have launched special promotions, while Resorts World is focusing on value-added experiences. Downtown casinos are also promoting budget-friendly packages to appeal to cost-conscious guests.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority is actively promoting these seasonal savings across various platforms to boost summer visitation. They emphasize that Las Vegas offers experiences at every price point, making it an attractive destination regardless of budget. With upcoming major events and conventions in the fall, the industry remains optimistic about future visitor numbers.

These promotions are not only targeting tourists but also locals, offering them significant discounts and extra perks, such as waived resort fees and reduced room rates. Overall, Las Vegas aims to demonstrate that visitors can enjoy a value-driven vacation with these current offerings.

Honestly, I have lived here for over 13 years from NJ originally and after the first year going to the strip has not been high on my list. For locals the prices are not appealing, however these days there are definitely deals if you do have your license (many still don’t). If it’s a vacation it’s great but not for every day life. (NB)
