Las Vegas Armored Truck Employee Accused of Stealing Over $113000 During Casino Delivery Route

A Las Vegas woman, Regina Valenzuela, has been accused of stealing over $113,000 from Sectran Security, an armored truck company where she was employed. According to police, Valenzuela allegedly took $112,532 intended for two Dotty’s Casino locations while on her delivery route on May 31. Surveillance footage reportedly shows her moving the missing cash bags into her personal vehicle.

Valenzuela, who started at Sectran Security in April, began her shift on May 31 at 6:30 a.m. but returned the armored truck by 8:30 a.m., leaving work abruptly and citing a family emergency more than an hour later. Another employee completed her route, and an end-of-day inventory revealed that two cash bags—one with $88,352 and another with $24,180—were missing.

Investigators determined that Valenzuela stopped at a gas station during her route around 7 a.m., where refueling disabled the vehicle’s internal cameras for eight minutes. Upon returning to the company yard, surveillance footage allegedly shows her transferring the cash bags into her own car before leaving.

Valenzuela was uncooperative when confronted and denied involvement, even after being shown the footage and delivery logs. She was terminated on June 1. Police later received an anonymous tip that Valenzuela had been bragging about the theft and might be staying with a friend in North Las Vegas, but she was not found at the address.

A subpoena of her bank records showed no significant deposits, and checks for any large transactions at casinos were negative. Valenzuela was arrested on September 29 and released the following day on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for an out-of-custody hearing on October 30. No attorney is currently listed in her case.
