Concierge medicine is becoming more accessible to Las Vegas residents thanks to Hermes Health, a new service launched in both Las Vegas and the San Francisco Bay Area. Hermes Health offers 24/7 on-demand telemedicine, connecting patients directly with ER physicians by phone, eliminating the need for doctor’s offices, receptionists, and long wait times. Most calls have a wait time of less than five minutes.
The company aims to provide premium concierge-level care at a more affordable price point, targeting a broader demographic. Patients receive three calls per month with a physician, who can prescribe medication, schedule screenings, and address urgent or routine health concerns. Additional calls can be purchased as needed, and family plans are available.
Hermes Health has built partnerships with imaging centers and labs in Las Vegas to offer cash prices for services, bypassing insurance approval delays. For example, patients can obtain imaging for injuries within 24 hours for around $400. The service also coordinates with couriers to deliver prescription medications during overnight hours.
Pricing starts at $250 per month for individuals (three calls per month), with family plans starting at $300 per month plus $50 per additional member. Unused calls expire after six months. All payments are out-of-pocket, but Health Care Service Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts can be used.
Hermes Health is particularly cost-effective for patients with high deductible plans or those without insurance, such as independent contractors. The service currently has about 50 users and four doctors in Las Vegas, with plans to expand as demand grows. Founder Dr. Alex Lin, formerly an ER physician in Las Vegas, launched Hermes Health to address access-to-care gaps he witnessed firsthand, reducing ER strain and improving continuity of care for non-urgent cases.
