Costco Expands in Southern Nevada with New Spring Valley Store Opening

Costco is set to open a new store in Southern Nevada next month, as indicated by its website. The new location is situated in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, specifically in the Spring Valley area of Clark County, on Buffalo Drive just south of the 215 Beltway. The construction of the store is progressing well, with the main building erected, parking areas paved, and the gas station installed. Banners on the site announce the “Spring Valley Location” and “Now Hiring,” and there are approximately 40 job openings listed for this location.

This new store is the only one currently planned for Nevada, as per Costco’s list of upcoming locations. It will feature a 157,633-square-foot retail space, a gas station, and a tire center. Clark County commissioners approved the plans for this project in 2023, which included a requirement for a development agreement to ensure contributions towards local public infrastructure. This agreement was adopted in February.

The county’s Building Department has issued significant permits for the project, including one valued at approximately $26.3 million for the store itself and another nearly $3.7 million for the fuel canopy. Costco, which already operates five locations in Southern Nevada, is known for offering bulk purchases of various goods.
