The Clark County Commission has formally approved a request from Affinity Gaming to temporarily close Buffalo Bill’s, the 1,242-room Old West-themed resort located in Primm, Nevada, for at least two years. The resort, situated 44 miles south of Las Vegas on Interstate 15, will remain closed for 24 months, with the possibility of two six-month extensions.
During the closure, Buffalo Bill’s will open briefly eight to ten times a year to host concerts and special events at its 6,500-seat Star of the Desert Arena. During these events, restaurants and the casino floor will also be available. There is no current information on the future of the Desperado roller coaster or the Adventure Canyon Log Flume ride.
The Bonnie & Clyde “death car,” previously housed at Buffalo Bill’s, has been relocated to the nearby Primm Valley Resort, which remains open. Additionally, Affinity Gaming received similar approval in December to temporarily close Whiskey Pete’s, another Primm property, under the same conditions as Buffalo Bill’s.
