Backstreet Boy Nick Carter to Host Parade Celebrating Summerlin South Little League Team

Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys has confirmed he will host the parade celebrating the Summerlin South Little League team. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Summerlin South recently competed in the Little League World Series, finishing with a commendable 15-2 record, despite losing the championship game to Chinese Taipei.

Carter mentioned his participation following a private performance at Brooklyn Bowl, where he played songs from his “Love Life Tragedy” album. Initially, Carter had expressed fatigue from his recent performances and considered skipping the parade. However, he later announced he felt rejuvenated and would indeed host the event.

In a statement, Carter expressed his enthusiasm for honoring the young athletes, emphasizing their achievements and the pride they bring to the community. While he will not perform at the parade, he will serve as the emcee.

Carter, who has been living in Las Vegas since 2016, coaches his son Odin’s baseball team and is an avid sports fan, particularly of the Oakland Athletics. He recently threw out the first pitch at a Las Vegas Ballpark game, further solidifying his connection to the city’s sports scene. Carter has expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome he has received in Las Vegas and his excitement about the city’s love for both entertainment and sports.
