Adopt a Rescued Rabbit: Help The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas Find Homes

The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas is actively seeking adopters for a group of rabbits that were recently rescued from a dumping ground in the northwest part of the city. Initially, 11 rabbits were taken in, with the expectation of retrieving a total of 30 from the site. Earlier in the year, the location was overwhelmed with nearly 100 abandoned rabbits, indicating a significant issue in the area.

Local homeowners who had been trying to care for the rabbits became overwhelmed, prompting the Animal Foundation and a local rescue partner to step in and facilitate adoptions. The shelter emphasizes that rabbits are social, active, playful, and affectionate animals that can live for 8 to 12 years, requiring care distinct from that of cats and dogs.

Prospective rabbit owners should be prepared to provide adequate space, attention, a diet of hay, vegetables, and pellets, as well as daily enrichment and regular grooming. Those interested in adopting a rabbit can find more information on the Animal Foundation’s website visit the Animal Foundation’s website.
