Las Vegas Part of DEAs Historic Multi-State Drug Bust That Seizes Large Quantities of Fentanyl

Federal officials have announced a significant drug bust that spanned five states, resulting in the seizure of various illegal substances and multiple arrests. The operation, led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), was described as “historic” by the Department of Justice.

In Las Vegas, authorities recovered a pound of methamphetamine, 2.7 kilograms of cocaine, and over $90,000 in cash. Additionally, an individual identified as an “illegal alien” was apprehended and removed from the area.

Overall, the nationwide operation resulted in the seizure of more than 400 kilograms of fentanyl. Attorney General Pamela Bondi emphasized the impact of this operation, stating that it is a significant setback for the Sinaloa Cartel and a protective measure for American citizens against the dangers of fentanyl.

The drug seizures took place across several states, including New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Arizona. The operation highlights ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and reduce the presence of illicit substances on the streets.
