Kentucky Moms Surprise: Son Orders 70,000 Lollipops from Amazon

A Kentucky woman was taken by surprise when her young son used her phone to order 70,000 Dum-Dum lollipops from Amazon, resulting in a $4,200 purchase. Holly LaFavers, from Lexington, shared her experience on social media after receiving 30 cases of the candy on her doorstep, with each case containing 2,340 lollipops.

Her son, Liam, a second-grader, admitted to placing the order while playing with her phone. Each case was priced at $130, leading to the substantial total. Initially, Amazon allowed LaFavers to return only eight cases, prompting her to sell the remaining cases to friends and neighbors.

After a day filled with discussions with her bank and media coverage, Amazon agreed to refund the entire purchase. LaFavers expressed gratitude to those who offered to buy a box to help and mentioned she would fulfill those orders or donate the lollipops to charity.
