Joann Fabric and Craft stores recently announced the closure of their two Las Vegas-area locations. The stores in Henderson and on N. Rainbow Blvd. in Las Vegas will shut down by the end of May or until supplies last. The company is offering in-store sales with discounts ranging from 50 to 70 percent off, including the sale of furniture, fixtures, and equipment as part of their liquidation process.
This closure is part of a larger move, as Joann plans to close all 790 of its locations nationwide. Earlier in March, the company indicated that 255 stores would be closed during April.
Joann initially filed for bankruptcy in March 2024, citing over $1 billion in total debt. The company went private in April 2024 and faced further financial difficulties, leading to another bankruptcy filing in January 2025. This final filing resulted in the decision to close all remaining storefronts after the company was unable to secure a buyer.
