Taylor Swift Unveils 12th Album “The Life of a Showgirl” with New Collaborations

Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” possibly hinting at key collaborators.

Alongside the announcement, Swift launched a Spotify playlist titled “And, baby, that’s show business for you,” featuring 22 tracks produced by Max Martin and Shellback. This has led to speculation that the duo may be involved in the new album’s production.

Jack Antonoff, a frequent collaborator, appears to be absent from this project, indicating a potential shift in Swift’s creative direction.

Earlier today, Swift shared news of her new album. This follows rumors of a new era that began on Monday, Aug. 11, spurred by a countdown clock on her official website.

The countdown concluded at 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12, with Swift’s store launching pre-orders for “The Life of a Showgirl.” The webstore offers vinyl, CD, and cassette editions, although the official release date remains unspecified. Physical items are expected to ship before Oct. 13.

On Monday morning, “New Heights,” the podcast hosted by Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and his brother Jason Kelce, teased a “very special guest” for Wednesday’s episode. Swift’s appearance was later confirmed, with the episode set to premiere at 7 p.m. ET on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

A clip shared on Instagram by both Swift and “New Heights” shows Swift confirming the project as her much-anticipated 12th album. “So I wanted to show you something,” Swift says, presenting a blurred copy of her new record. “This is my brand new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl."” The full album artwork is expected to be revealed during the “New Heights” podcast on Wednesday.
