PinkPantheress Unveils Star-Studded ‘Fancy That’ Remix Album

PinkPantheress has announced a star-studded lineup for an upcoming remix project of her “Fancy That” mixtape, set for release Friday, Oct. 10.

The project, titled “Fancy Some More?,” features Kylie Minogue, members of K-pop group SEVENTEEN (The 8, Mingyu, Vernon), Ravyn Lenae, Zara Larsson and others. The new release is described as a reimagining of “Fancy That,” which debuted in May. The nine-track mixtape is currently nominated for the Mercury Prize, to be awarded Thursday, Oct. 16, and peaked at No. 72 on the Billboard 200.

“Fancy Some More?” includes 22 remixes from the original “Fancy That” tracklist, such as “Illegal” and “Tonight.” Featured artists on the project include Anitta, Bladee, Jade, JT, Oklou, Rachel Chinouriri, Ravyn Lenae and Yves. The album also features Basement Jaxx, Groove Armada and Sugababes. Producers and DJs contributing to the project include Adame DJ, DJ Caio Prince, Joe Goddard, Kaytranada, Kilimanjaro, Leod, Loukeman, Mochakk, Nia Archives and Sega Bodega.

PinkPantheress announced the remix project on Instagram, writing, “I’m so excited for you all to listen to this project reimagined with so many fabulous artists from around the world.”

In a press release, the singer said she wanted to explore how the songs could “live in different worlds while still holding onto the emotion of the original.” She added, “Hearing other artists reimagine it has been so inspiring. Each remix brings a new energy and texture, while still keeping the heart of the track intact. It’s been so exciting to see ‘Fancy That’ take on these new, international lives and global perspectives.”

PinkPantheress, 24, will begin a North American tour later this month, starting at New York City’s Kings Theatre on Oct. 24. She will then make stops in Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland and Mexico City.
