Louis Tomlinson Teases Third Solo Album and Announces Upcoming Live Performances

Louis Tomlinson, former member of One Direction, is preparing to release his third solo studio album.

On Tuesday, Tomlinson posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, that the upcoming, as-yet-untitled record is coming together well.

“Just sat listening to the new record and I’ve got a really really good feeling this time around! Can’t wait for you all to hear it!!” Tomlinson wrote.

Fans responded with enthusiasm, posting comments such as, “None of your records have disappointed thus far! Can’t wait!” and, “Count the days to listen to it! I’m sure it’s going to be great!”

The new album will follow Tomlinson’s 2022 release, “Faith in the Future,” which included singles such as “Bigger Than Me,” “Out of My System” and “Silver Tongues.” That record debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and marked Tomlinson’s first No. 1 debut on the UK albums chart.

Tomlinson has not announced a release date or title for his third album. However, he has scheduled several live performances in the coming months and hinted that fans may hear new material soon. When a fan asked about new music, Tomlinson replied, “Or maybe I’m going to play something new at Away From Home. It’s about time, isn’t it? Really really excited about it! Got a few surprises. Should be fun.”

Tomlinson is set to headline the New York edition of his Away From Home Festival, scheduled for Oct. 4-5 at Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown, New York. The event will feature artists including Lauv, Steve Aoki, Plain White T’s, Daya, Circa Waves and Pale Waves.

In addition, Tomlinson is slated to perform during BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge Month 2025 in October. The series features major artists performing live on the network’s morning show at noon GMT on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Tomlinson’s performance is scheduled for Oct. 29, following appearances by Olivia Dean, Conan Gray, Myles Smith, MGK, PinkPantheress, Robbie Williams, The Last Dinner Party, Skye Newman, Reneé Rapp, Lewis Capaldi, Demi Lovato, Wet Leg and Mumford & Sons. Live Lounge performers traditionally play one of their own songs as well as a cover.
