COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A vibrant mix of culture, cuisine and celebration returns to the region this weekend as Columbus and surrounding communities host several major events that appeal to a variety of interests.
CBUS Soul® Fest
Downtown Columbus will come alive with music, heritage and community spirit at Bicentennial Park during the CBUS Soul® Fest, running Aug. 15–16. Now in its fourth year, the festival highlights Columbus’s dynamic Black culture with live performances, art installations and food offerings. The two-day event expands its presence this year in a new downtown location
Food Truck Heaven in Hilliard
Just west of the city, families and foodies will gather at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard for the Columbus Food Truck Festival, set for Aug. 16–17. Attendees can savor offerings from more than 50 gourmet trucks, shop from local vendors, and enjoy live music in a festive open-air atmosphere.

Bucyrus Bratwurst Festival: Food lovers can sink their teeth into bratwurst specialties at this regional favorite running Aug. 14–16.

Fairborn Sweet Corn Festival: Featuring pony rides, crafts, live music and—of course—sweet corn, this free-admission event spans Aug. 16–17
