Hot 10 Recap – Week of 8/2/2025

Alex Warren continues his No. 1 success in the Billboard Hot 100 survey dated Aug. 2, 2025, with “Ordinary,” a raw piano ballad that’s become an unlikely summer anthem that’s been at the top for 7 weeks now. The YouTuber-turned-singer’s confessional lyrics and soaring vocals struck a chord with audiences, powered in part by a viral TikTok trend and a stripped-down live performance on late-night TV.

At No. 2, Huntrx continues his rise with “Golden (From K-Pop Demon Hunters),” a cinematic track from the anime-inspired film that’s gaining traction globally. The song blends orchestral drama with modern K-pop elements, capturing fans across fandoms.

Justin Bieber climbs to No. 3 with “Daisies,” his highest-charting solo single in over a year. The track showcases a gentler sound and lyrics reflecting personal growth, with many listeners noting its acoustic vulnerability reminiscent of his Purpose era.

Holding steady at No. 4 is “What I Want,” a moody duet between Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae that pairs country grit with pop introspection. The collaboration has received praise for its genre-blending production and honest storytelling.

Morgan Wallen also lands at No. 5 with his solo track “Just In Case,” a midtempo ballad fueled by themes of heartbreak and hope. The double appearance in the top five marks another strong week for the country star, whose chart presence shows no signs of slowing.

At No. 6 is Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not,” a retro-tinged R&B groove that’s brought her smooth falsetto into the mainstream. Critics have hailed the track as one of the year’s most sonically adventurous singles.

Teddy Swims slips one spot to No. 7 with “Lose Control,” a soulful belter that’s remained a fan favorite thanks to his powerhouse vocals and emotional delivery. The song has spent over 30 weeks on the chart.

Shaboozey’s country-rap crossover “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds the No. 8 spot. Its rowdy singalong chorus and clever flip of J-Kwon’s 2004 hit continue to fuel dance floors and playlists alike.

Debuting at No. 9 is “Luther,” a surprise drop from Kendrick Lamar and SZA. The jazzy, introspective track features spiritual overtones and tight lyrical interplay between the longtime collaborators, who last topped the charts together in 2018.

Rounding out the top 10 is a powerhouse pop duet: Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ “Die With A Smile.” The track, steeped in vintage soul with a dramatic twist, marks Gaga’s return to the top 10 after a brief hiatus from the spotlight.
