Hot 10 Recap – Week of 7/26/2025

NEW YORK (AP) — A wave of genre-melding and emotional honesty defines this week’s Billboard Hot 100, with singer-songwriter and social media star Alex Warren enters his seventh week at No. 1 with his heartfelt ballad “Ordinary.”

Released independently, “Ordinary” surged to the top after going viral on TikTok, where fans connected with Warren’s raw vocals and introspective lyrics about the fear of being forgettable. It marks a turning point for the influencer-turned-artist, proving he’s more than a social media flash-in-the-pan.

Justin Bieber lands at No. 2 with “Daisies,” a shimmering return to pop form. With its falsetto-laden hook and production from longtime collaborator Skrillex, the track showcases a more mature Bieber, focusing on self-worth and resilience.

The No. 3 spot goes to Morgan Wallen and Tate McRae with their surprise duet “What I Want.” The track blends Wallen’s country grit with McRae’s alt-pop sensibilities, creating a genre-blurring slow-burn hit that’s gained momentum on both country and Top 40 radio.

Another solo entry for Wallen, “Just In Case,” sits at No. 5. At No. 4 is rising K-pop fusion artist Huntrx with “Golden,” a high-energy anthem from the video game K-Pop Demon Hunters. The track’s inclusion in a globally streamed esports event helped launch it into viral territory.

Virginia-born country-rap artist Shaboozey rises to No. 6 with “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” a nostalgic remix of the 2004 J-Kwon hit. Its infectious party vibe and crossover appeal have made it a summer staple on streaming services.

Ravyn Lenae claims No. 7 with her breakout track “Love Me Not,” a sultry blend of R&B and alt-soul that’s found a home on moody playlists and late-night radio slots alike. This marks Lenae’s first appearance in the Hot 100’s top 10.

At No. 8, Drake makes his latest chart entry with “What Did I Miss,” a laid-back confessional that touches on fame fatigue and personal missteps. Though not as aggressive as some of his previous hits, its introspection has resonated with listeners.

Teddy Swims returns to the top 10 with “Lose Control” at No. 9, buoyed by steady streaming and adult contemporary radio play. His gritty vocals and throwback soul vibe continue to earn him a growing, cross-generational fanbase.

Rounding out the chart is a duet from Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. “Die With A Smile” lands at No. 10 and leans heavily into vintage glam and big band instrumentation, evoking the theatrical flair both artists are known for.

This week’s Hot 100 signals a shift toward emotional honesty, unexpected collaborations and the blurring of genre lines—proof that in 2025, the only rule left in pop is to make listeners feel something.
