Ascendant country star Ella Langley has announced the cancellation of several upcoming shows due to fatigue.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Aug. 11, Langley disclosed that she will be canceling seven performances. These include two shows on Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” tour scheduled for Aug. 15 and 16 in Cleveland, Ohio. Additionally, she is canceling three opening slots on Riley Green’s “Damn Country Music” tour on Aug. 21 in Bonner-West Riverside, Montana; Aug. 22 in Idaho Falls, Idaho; Aug. 23 in Nampa, Idaho; and an Aug. 25 performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado.
Langley will also not be performing at Nashville’s The Listening Room on Aug. 19, and a No. 1 party for her, planned for Aug. 13 in Nashville, has been postponed.
“I’m sad to be posting this,” Langley wrote on Instagram. “The past several weeks have been tough. I’ve been fighting sickness and feeling more run down than ever. After a lot of thought, I’ve made the hard decision to take a couple of weeks to rest and focus on my health—mind, body, and heart. I want to be fully present for all the moments ahead, and I know I can’t do that without first taking care of myself.”
She continued, “Sometimes we have to listen when our bodies and hearts are telling us to slow down. I’m so grateful for your understanding and your love—it truly means the world to me.”
Her statement included a Biblical quote and concluded with, “I’ll be back on the road in September, ready to give you my all.”
Gavin Adcock will replace Langley at Wallen’s two Ohio shows this weekend. Billboard has reached out to representatives for Green and Wallen for comment on the opening slots for those select tour dates.
Langley’s September tour schedule includes two more stops on Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” tour, with performances on Sept. 12-13 in Edmonton, Canada. She is also set to play at the World Wide Technology Raceway on Sept. 6 and has additional dates later this year on her own “The Still Hungover Tour” presented by Boot Barn.
Langley is known for her hits including the Billboard Country Airplay No. 1 “You Look Like You Love Me” with Green and the No. 2 Country Airplay hit “Weren’t For The Wind.” She was honored at Billboard’s Country Power Players event in June.
