Hey Ya! Outkast Makes History

Outkast, the legendary Atlanta duo of André 3000 and Big Boi, is officially being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and hip-hop is celebrating big. Known for pushing boundaries and blending funk, soul, and Southern swagger, Outkast changed the face of rap music and helped put Atlanta on the global music map.

Every album brought a new wave from their groundbreaking debut Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik to futuristic classics like ATLiens and Aquemini. Then came Stankonia with “Ms. Jackson” and “B.O.B.,” followed by the game-changing Speakerboxxx/The Love Below, the Diamond-certified double album that gave us “Hey Ya!” and “The Way You Move.”

Their 2025 Rock Hall induction puts them alongside other powerhouses like Salt-N-Pepa, again showing that hip-hop belongs in every corner of music history. The 2025 induction ceremony is scheduled for November 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

With six Grammys, 20 million albums sold, and a legacy that inspired generations, Outkast’s Hall of Fame moment isn’t just overdue — it’s legendary.
