Roman Alexander is returning to his roots with his upcoming EP, “Midwest Calling,” to be released on August 22 via Twelve6 Entertainment. This six-song collection offers a raw and honest reflection of small-town life, heartbreak, and enduring memories. The EP showcases Alexander’s signature blend of emotional storytelling and smooth country soul, highlighting his unmatched vocals.
Drawing from his upbringing in Missouri, the songs are inspired by unforgettable late-night conversations and experiences. They explore themes of unplanned breakups and the complexities of life. Alexander describes the Midwest as having a unique pull, even when one thinks they’ve moved on, and this EP encapsulates those stories that continually draw one back.
The project features contributions from a notable lineup of Nashville writers, including GRAMMY nominees Jessi Alexander, Brad Tursi, Trevor Rosen, and Casey Brown, as well as hitmakers John Morgan, Josh Kerr, and Will Bundy. Roman Alexander himself is credited on five of the six tracks, showcasing his talent as both a vocalist and a songwriter.
