Gene Simmons just turned 77 today. But even at his age, he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who likes to ask permission for anything. Yet if he ever wants to bring KISS back from the dead, that’s EXACTLY what he’ll have to do.
He says, quote, “Kiss was actually sold . . . the makeup and the tunes and the publishing and all that for a lot of money, to a great company called Pophouse.
“Kiss can’t play live without Pophouse’s permission, because they own the makeup and everything.”
KISS played their last show on December 2nd, 2023, but that doesn’t mean they’re disappearing into history.
Gene says there’s a biopic that’s being cast as we speak, plus the avatar show that’s already in the works. He also mentioned possible cartoon shows and a theme park.
