Pete Davidson opened up about hitting rock bottom back in 2023 after the release of his show “Bupkis”. He turned to drugs to numb the pain of playing himself and “constantly living” in his own crap.
Quote, “It was [Ketamine]. I was getting liquid and cooking it. And I would do acid and shrooms and whippets and smoke weed all day and eat pills every day. It got scary because I didn’t feel high.
“I felt high when I wasn’t doing it, so I was like, this is a huge problem.”
After Pete received a literal wake-up call from his mom, he checked himself into rehab. For what it’s worth, he says he’s mostly sober now, aside from a few beers a year.
Quote, “I don’t [eff] with drugs anymore. It’s been two or three years from doing really hard stuff and about a year or more from weed. Weirdly, the hardest thing to stop was weed. And now it’s easy because I have a kid.”
Elsewhere in his interview with “Variety”, Pete says he’s keeping a few of his tattoos, including the one of Hillary Clinton because, quote, “That’s my dog.”
