50 Cent Halts Skill House with $5M Lawsuit

When 50 Cent says he’s not playing, best believe he means it.

The rap mogul and entertainment heavyweight has officially taken legal action, filing a $5 million lawsuit in Los Angeles over the upcoming horror flick Skill House. His accusation? The producers used his name, image, and voice without proper permission and never paid him a dime.

According to the lawsuit filed against producer Ryan Kavanaugh and Skill House Movie LLC, the team behind the film falsely marketed the project as a “50 Cent Movie,” even listing him as a star and producer despite never sealing the deal with a signed contract.

“If it ain’t signed, it ain’t official,” seems to be 50’s stance. The lawsuit clarifies that 50 never approved of using his likeness, voice, or name, and he would have never participated in the project without complete creative control and a finalized agreement.

Originally set to premiere in July 2025 on the GenTV streaming platform, Skill House now faces an uncertain future. 50 isn’t just looking for a paycheck. He’s asking the court to block the movie’s release entirely.

This battle is more than just business; it’s personal. And when it comes to 50 Cent, crossing the line between the two comes with a price.
