Code of Conduct
1. On-Air Performance & Energy
• Talent must maintain an enthusiastic, engaging, and listener-focused presence on air.
• All content should be captivating, well-paced, and relevant to the station’s target audience.
• Talent are encouraged to bring their authentic personalities to their shows, including humor and
creative flair, as long as it aligns with station guidelines.
2. Content Standards
• No Politics or Religion: Political and religious discussions are prohibited on general format stations.
These topics are only permitted on designated political talk or Christian stations.
• Avoid divisive or polarizing commentary. If a topic seems blurry or could be controversial, leave it out.
• All information must be verified for accuracy and relevance before being shared on air. Use reliable
sources only.
• Talent may not speak on behalf of the station or Audilous. Personal opinions must be clearly stated as
personal.
3. Preparation & Show Quality
• Shows must be planned in advance using approved show prep tools (e.g., prep services, ChatGPT, or
original research).
• Prep content must be current, factual, and station-appropriate.
• Voice tracks must be uploaded at least 30 minutes before the first scheduled hour to ensure smooth
scheduling and automation.
• If talent are unable to record or go live for their show, station management must be notified
immediately so a fill-in or backup can be arranged.
• Many stations allow multi-day pre-recording. Talent are encouraged to use this flexibility to avoid
last-minute emergencies.
4. Professional Conduct
• All talent must treat colleagues, station staff, and listeners with respect.
• Do not interfere with other shows or disrupt station operations.
• All advertising and promotional obligations must be fulfilled as scheduled.• Talent may not air new advertisements, sponsorships, or mentions without prior management
approval.
• Personal privacy must be respected — do not share anyone’s personal phone number, address, or
business location on air without explicit permission.
• Harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior (on air or off) will not be tolerated.
5. Interviews & Content Handling
• All interviews must be recorded in full and kept unedited for at least three (3) months for
recordkeeping.
• Talent may not alter or destroy interview recordings without management approval.
• All guests must be treated professionally, with proper scheduling and follow-up communications as
required.
6. Music & Technical Compliance
• Talent are not permitted to upload or add music to the station’s automation or playout systems without
management approval.
• All broadcasts must comply with station licensing, royalty reporting, and content restrictions.
• Unauthorized streaming, file sharing, or unlicensed content is strictly prohibited.
7. Remote Broadcasting & Technical Expectations
• Talent must maintain a stable internet connection and use professional or semi-professional audio
equipment (e.g., USB/XLR microphone, headphones, pop filter).
• Record or broadcast in a quiet, echo-free space to ensure clean audio quality.
• All voice tracks must be delivered in the approved audio format (e.g., 44.1 kHz / 128 kbps MP3) with
proper naming conventions.
• Talent should have a basic backup plan (e.g., mobile hotspot, alternate computer, or pre-recorded
emergency content) in case of technical failures.
• Talent must test their audio regularly and keep software up to date.
8. Branding & Consistency
• Talent must use approved station imaging, slogans, and identifiers consistently to maintain brand
integrity.
• When promoting listening options, Audilous app and website should be prioritized, with other
platforms mentioned periodically.
• Personal social media activity related to shows should align with station branding and not
misrepresent the station or company.
• Do not create unauthorized pages, groups, or streams using the station’s name or branding.
9. Communication & Network Conduct
• Remote talent must maintain regular communication with their Program Director or Station Manager
via email, chat, or scheduled check-ins.
• All talent are expected to respond promptly to management messages, scheduling updates, or
technical requests.
• Missed uploads or lack of communication may result in temporary suspension or reassignment.
10. Representation & Public Conduct
• Talent may not speak on behalf of the station or Audilous in any public forum, media interview, or
online platform unless authorized.
• On social media and in personal appearances, talent should conduct themselves in a manner that
positively reflects the station and network.
• Social Media Accountability: Talent must exercise caution and good judgment when posting on
personal or professional social media accounts — especially those used to promote their show.
• Posts that are offensive, discriminatory, inflammatory, or damaging to the station’s reputation may
result in disciplinary action, up to and including removal from the station.
• This applies to both current posts and past content that may surface and reflect poorly on the brand.
• Talent are representatives of the brand both on and off the air.
Acknowledgment
All talent must review and acknowledge this Code of Conduct. Hosting or contributing a show on any
Audilous station constitutes agreement to follow these guidelines
