Metallica will partner with the American Red Cross during their Las Vegas residency at the Sphere this fall, inviting fans to donate blood at a special Metallica-themed pop-up center.
The Metallica x Red Cross blood drive will take place from Sept. 28 through March 19 at Fashion Show Las Vegas, 3200 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, Nev., 89109. The donation center will be open Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. through mid-November. Hours for the rest of the event will be announced later.
Fans who donate blood will receive a limited-edition T-shirt designed by artist Squindo, while supplies last. Donors will also be entered for a chance to win a Tama drum kit owned by Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich. The Delta Backstage Lounge will offer refreshments for donors.
The pop-up donation center will feature an immersive backstage experience, including a replica of Ulrich’s drum kit for fans to try.
