AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” is back on the Billboard Global 200 chart more than 30 years after its original release. The track, first released in 1990 as the lead single from the album “The Razors Edge,” re-entered the Billboard Global 200 at No. 190, according to Billboard data cited by Parade.

The popularity of “Thunderstruck” extends beyond streaming platforms. The song’s official music video has more than 1.7 billion views on YouTube, making it AC/DC’s most-watched video.

Why does “Thunderstruck” remain a popular choice for workout playlists? Many athletes and fans say the song’s energy helps push them through tough routines. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, in an interview with Louder, said AC/DC is a regular part of his gym playlist. McIntyre, a longtime rock fan, also listens to Metallica, Ozzy Osbourne, and Guns N’ Roses during his workouts.

Fans continue to turn to “Thunderstruck” for motivation. The song’s driving guitar riff and fast tempo still provide the adrenaline needed for heavy lifts or speed intervals. Thirty-four years after its release, “Thunderstruck” shows no sign of losing its place as a workout favorite.
