“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives…” — John 14:27 (NIV)
Peace is not just a passing feeling or a rare moment of calm. It is the steady gift of Jesus Himself. The peace of the world is fragile because it depends on circumstances, comfort, or control. When those fade, the calm they bring disappears with them. The peace of Christ is different because it flows from His presence, not from what is happening around us. It steadies the restless mind, anchors the weary soul, and guards the heart against fear. Even when chaos rises and uncertainty presses in, His peace remains. When storms come, remember that the same Jesus who speaks “Be still” to raging seas is the one who is with you. His peace does not remove the storm, but it gives you the strength to stand firm in it.
Today, take five minutes of stillness. Turn off distractions, breathe deeply, and rest in the presence of God. Ask Him to fill your heart with His peace, a peace that steadies, anchors, and carries you through every challenge.
