ABOUT MARIA:

Hailing from LA, Maria grew up loving Steve Harvey mornings on 105.9, Love Songs on the Coast on 103.5, and also KISSFM. Classics. Not so much a KROQ person. She started performing as a child, and was even featured on Nickelodeon gushing over James Van Der Beek when she was a preteen. She went on to study theater at New York University and the so-called “clown school” that Zach Galifianakis failed out of on the TV show Baskets—Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France. There, she was introduced to radio. She hosted a scripted travel show on World Radio Paris, Petit Voyage. As a bonafide music lover, she’s hosting weekend afternoons on TheSound.  When she’s not on the mic, she’s live on the open mic circuit as a budding comedian in New York City.
