Broadacres Marketplace Set to Reopen After Temporary Closure

Broadacres Marketplace in North Las Vegas has announced it will resume operations after a temporary closure due to concerns over potential immigration enforcement actions. The swap meet, a significant venue for the local Latino community, closed on June 21 after a similar operation occurred at a Southern California swap meet. The decision to close was made to prevent any possibility of customers, vendors, or employees being detained. Despite these concerns, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) stated that no operations had taken place at the Broadacres location prior to its closure. The marketplace, which has been operational since 1977 and hosts over 1,100 vendors, is set to reopen and has communicated the news via their Instagram account.
