Athletics Partner with Aramark for Las Vegas Ballpark Investment and Hospitality Innovation

The Athletics have announced a significant partnership with Aramark Sports + Entertainment as their first investor for the new Las Vegas ballpark. This deal not only makes Aramark the concessionaire for the stadium but also a minority owner in the club. Although the financial terms were not confirmed by the A’s, it has been reported that the agreement includes a $100 million equity investment and a $75 million capital expenditure contribution.

Aramark, known for managing concessions at several major sports venues, will handle the hospitality aspects at the new stadium, ranging from general concessions to premium dining experiences. The partnership aims to set a new industry standard for sporting events by creating a fan-focused experience.

As part of enhancing the culinary and hospitality offerings, restaurateur Will Guidara will join as a strategic partner. Guidara, recognized for his work in hospitality and his bestselling book “Unreasonable Hospitality,” will help develop a unique hospitality brand and improve guest experiences at the stadium. The focus will be on making every fan feel special, whether they are attending a baseball game, concert, or community event.

The A’s are actively working to secure additional investors to contribute up to $550 million toward the stadium, which is now estimated to cost around $2 billion. Talks are ongoing with various interested parties, including a Korean group and notable figures from the entertainment and sports industries.

Construction on the stadium site has begun, covering 9 acres of the former Tropicana Las Vegas location. The remaining land will be used by Bally’s Corp. to build a new integrated resort. The construction is managed by the Mortenson-McCarthy joint venture team, with significant progress on grading and initial foundation work already underway. Permit applications have been filed for concrete and steel work, valued at over $115 million, indicating the project is moving steadily forward. The A’s are expected to provide further updates at the upcoming Las Vegas Stadium Authority meeting.
