Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton will take the field as captain for the Pacers Foundation Charity Softball Classic, set for August 24 at Indianapolis’s Victory Field. This event isn’t just a friendly game; it’s a major fundraising effort supporting “Drive & Dish,” a vital program created by Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle aimed at combating food insecurity throughout Indiana.
The game boasts a spectacular roster featuring a cross-section of Indiana’s sports elite. Haliburton will be joined by fellow Pacers guards Aaron Nesmith, Andrew Nembhard, and T.J. McConnell. Representing the Indianapolis Colts will be star quarterback Daniel Jones, dynamic running back Jonathan Taylor, wide receiver Alec Pierce, cornerback Sauce Gardner, safety Cam Bynum, and tight end Mo Alie-Cox.
Adding to the star power, legendary former Colts punter and current media personality Pat McAfee will emcee the festivities. Appearances are also scheduled by key figures from the Indiana Fever, including their mascot Freddy Fever, and Pacers staples Boomer and the Indiana Pacemates.
General admission tickets for this community-focused event are priced at $10 and go on sale starting Friday, July 24.
