COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — Central Ohio will host a range of New Year’s Eve events this year, including family-friendly daytime activities and themed parties for adults.
Many events require advance ticket purchase and have age restrictions. Attendees are advised to review each event’s details before making plans.
A selection of New Year’s Eve events in the Columbus area includes:
Noon Year’s Eve at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, 4850 W. Powell Road:
The zoo will hold a countdown to noon, with guests admitted to the Lakeside Theater beginning at 11 a.m. The event features appearances by zoo character ambassadors, music, activities, and a chance for visitors to create New Year’s resolutions.
Noon Year’s Eve at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 1777 E. Broad St.:
The conservatory will host a noon countdown starting at 11 a.m., featuring party hat making, games, and dancing.
Noon Year’s Eve at COSI, 333 W. Broad St.:
COSI’s celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to noon with science activities, music, and dancing.
Early Eve at Land Grant Brewing, 424 W. Town St.:
Land Grant Brewing will host a 1 p.m. countdown, including a live magic show, sparkling grape juice toast, and party favors.
Shimmer in the Sky at Brass Eye, 77 Belle St.:
Brass Eye, a rooftop bar at The Junto Hotel, will offer cocktails, appetizers, music, and a midnight toast.
New Year’s Eve Party at East Market, 212 Kelton Ave.:
East Market in the Historic Trolley District will hold a New Year’s Eve celebration and Ohio State football watch party, with food and drinks available from vendors.
New Year’s Eve at VASO, 6540 Riverside Drive:
VASO will feature live music, cocktail specials, party favors, and a midnight toast.
New Year’s Eve at Budd Dairy Food Hall, 1086 N. Fourth St.:
Budd Dairy Food Hall will stream the Ohio State football game, host halftime giveaways, play music, and serve food.
A Night of Hollywood Glamour at Stories on High, 404 N. High St.:
Stories on High will hold a Hollywood glamour-themed party with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and live music. Old Hollywood attire is encouraged.
Starry Night Celebration at Hotel LeVeque, 50 W. Broad St.:
Hotel LeVeque guests can celebrate with a champagne toast, live music, and a midnight balloon drop.
New Year’s Eve at Hollywood Casino, 200 Georgesville Road:
Hollywood Casino will offer live entertainment, dancing, and a balloon drop at midnight.
Cowboy Disco Party at Understory, 2571 Neil Ave.:
Understory’s cowboy disco-themed party includes a DJ, hors d’oeuvres, and a midnight champagne toast.
New Year’s Eve at DraftKings Sports and Social, 840 N. High St.:
DraftKings Sports and Social will feature a buffet, giveaways, live DJs, drinks, and a countdown to midnight.
