Pop star Olivia Rodrigo has revealed the tracklist for her upcoming third studio album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” set for release June 12.
Rodrigo shared a photo on Instagram Tuesday, May 26, displaying the names of all 13 songs from the album. The image shows her sitting next to a park swing at night, with the titles written in pink embroidery-style lettering.
The tracklist is divided into two sections, “Girl So in Love” and “You Seem Pretty Sad,” reflecting the album’s title. The “Girl So in Love” section includes the lead single “Drop Dead,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, along with “Stupid Song,” “Honeybee,” “Maggots for Brains,” “U + Me = <3,” “My Way” and “Purple.” The “You Seem Pretty Sad” section lists the previously released single “The Cure,” as well as “Begged,” which Rodrigo performed on “Saturday Night Live” in May. Other songs in this group are “What’s Wrong With Me,” “Less,” “Expectations” and “Cigarette Smoke.” In her post, Rodrigo wrote, “only 3 weeks till the album is yours!!! i can’t wait for you guys to hear these songs.” “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” follows Rodrigo’s previous albums “Guts” (2023) and “Sour” (2021), both of which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Rodrigo told British Vogue in April that the new album will focus on love songs with a sense of longing. She said, “I realized all my favorite romantic love songs were beautiful because they had a tinge of fear or yearning in them.” She also shared, “I felt a similar way about falling in love, that the second I’m in a really great relationship, I’m gonna start feeling good about myself, and this stuff is going to fall into place. But it just doesn’t work like that.” Are you looking forward to hearing Rodrigo’s new direction?
