WORTHINGTON, Ohio — A new independent bookstore, The Whispering Page, plans to open this summer at 661 N. High St. in downtown Worthington.
The store, located between Vernacular and the Old Bag of Nails Pub, has announced its plans on social media but has not yet set a formal opening date. The owners say they are targeting a July debut.
The business has shared updates throughout April and May, highlighting plans for a space with wood floors, exposed brick and a focus on community events. Posts have described book-themed gatherings and programs aimed at bringing local readers together.
Earlier this month, The Whispering Page appeared at the Worthington Makers Market, offering a selection of books in various genres, along with stickers, greeting cards and handmade bookmarks. The pop-up gave residents a chance to meet the owners and preview the store’s offerings.
The store first announced its arrival in April, urging residents to follow its social media pages for further updates. Details such as hours of operation and an exact opening date have not been released.
